Conventional wisdom suggests that an aluminum cylinder provides hardness while a carbon composite is needed to construct a lightweight body and rotor. ZAION is a merger of these two properties. While typical carbon is made from nylon 6-6 resin and 20% carbon fibers, ZAION has twice the density of carbon fibers. The result is a unique material that is as strong as magnesium.
