Most nylons absorb water through tiny pores on the surface of the line. When the water dries it leaves salt on the surface, creating a milky appearance. This results in hardening of the nylon which gives it a rough texture. Sunline products are manufactured with the water repellent resin treatment which produces a stronger, smoother and more durable fishing line. One of them, is the Queen Star in a 600m package.
