Nerd Fishing Worthy Shrimp

The workshop of Nerdfishing presents a very ambitious project aimed at creating silicon lures for Mediterranean waters and fish - designed, tested, and made in Greece.

A Shrimp Silicone bait is absolutely essential for Mediterranean LRF. However, the Worthy shrimp doesn't look much like a shrimp at all. The goal, though, was to design something that precisely imitates the movement of a hunted shrimp. After extensive study of underwater footage with natural shrimp in their Mediterranean environment, we managed to achieve exactly that.

The appendages on the artificial bait simulate the legs and antennae. The small "pinches" continuously provide realistic movement, resembling an escape motion. This bait comes to life in an incredible way, whether used with creature-type lead heads or darting lead heads. With darting lead heads, it exhibits an amazing side-to-side motion with twitching, while its excellence lies in small, sharp jerks and fast retrieves.

Whether it's with small or long jerks, this shrimp is among the most lifelike in terms of movement among artificial baits in its category.

As an enhancement for the Shrimp Silicone bait, we chose something equally innovative: olive oil. The pure olive oil of our region has exceptional qualities as a natural preservative while being particularly attractive to fish. We added a squid scent to it, with results that exceeded all expectations.

All the colors of Nerdfishing's silicone lures are determined by the following methodology. Various colors are selected by the designers, and after extensive testing by the Nerd Fishing community and observations on the behavior of the catches, the most effective ones are chosen. In other words, these lures have the "approval" of the sea and the angling community! Another innovation by Nerdfishing with the aim of creating strong and original artificial lures, designed specifically by Greek hands for the Mediterranean seas!
