The use of 12 strands offers up to now unknown possibilities to improve the features of a braided line. Compared to standard braided lines, the abrasion resistance of the new Daiwa Saltiga 12braid is improved up to 72% while the knot strength is significantly higher.
In the new Saltiga lines, Daiwa has added a new, external EVO silicone surface coating. This results in becoming evensofter, with a velvet texture, running smoothly from the reel and through the guides, significantly reducing noise generation and further increasing the casting distances. So, friction was also reduced up to 18%. This feature with the improved abrasion resistance, make Daiwa Saltiga one of the most advanced braided lines on the market and will retain its original condition for a long time.
The Daiwa Saltiga 12braid EX+Si braided line is made in Japan. The strength of the line exceeds the strength of conventional 8-strand braided lines of the same diameter by up to 20%. Saltiga 12 Braid is manufactured in a complicated and time-consuming procedure in Japan according to highest quality standards.
The braided line has marks every one and five meters, and the color changes every ten meters, so it is easy to calculate the casting distance, or the fishing depth.
