The "LRF-Twitcher" is a unique handcrafted fishing rod designed for the specific characteristics and needs of Light Rock Fishing (LRF) in Greek waters. For the first time in our country, the workshop of Nerd Fishing in collaboration with the renowned angler and fishing writer Giorgos Tyrikos presents a specialized tool full of innovations from Greek creators for the Greek enthusiast of technical fishing.
The "LRF-Twitcher" has three specific objectives. Firstly, it aims for a long-range cast with great accuracy. Secondly, it provides absolute control over all those lures that come to life through twitching - which is proven to be the favorite technique for targeting important fish species in Greek LRF, such as seabass, mullet, and wrasse. And thirdly, it achieves a balance of sensitivity in transmitting commands and detecting stimuli, combining power in hooking and handling even large catches.
This rod went through approximately one and a half years of testing. After numerous alternations in the blanks and setup, we arrived at a completely innovative proposition - something that is not widely available on the market. The "LRF-Twitcher" consists of a single-piece blank with a length of 1.69m, combined with a very short butt resembling the setup of a Fly Fishing rod or a specialized Aji rod. Its excellent balance, especially with the appropriate reels, makes one-handed use and casting a whole new experience.
The components surrounding this unique blank include stainless steel Fuji guides from the K series with Alconite rings and Tangle Free technology, Fuji IPS reel seat, and high-quality EVA foam grips. The very short butt (6cm) serves purely as a support and the rod can be fished without it if desired by the user. The design of the rod is simple despite its vibrant color character, which makes it truly distinctive.
