The Reef 3.5S is the new series of squid jigs from Egido with a very slow sinking speed which is proven to be ideal for the Mediterranean squids!
The beginning was made with the selection of four different colors of which all have Glow Body but two of them have full undertape foil (tape-sticker between the body and the cloth) .
This tape is known as "marble" or "rainbow" and it's colorful and sparkling having the ability of "flashing", i.e. giving a special glowin the squid jig in the water.
It became very popular in Japan for its effectiveness on large clever squids in very good lighting conditions. But over the years it has been proven to work just as well in our Greek waters at night for large squids too!
So the Reef series consists of two full Glow colors (SG03 & SPB05) and two "sly" colors (SPB02 & SPB04) that glow only on the lower part of the belly, where connecting the tail and the big eyes and they actually "glow" in the water!
The special features of the series are the very well-designed ballast with the ability to stand well in the currents and not easily catch on anything on the bottom of the sea, while in combination with the slow sinking speed, give us the possibility to fish even in wild sea beds. The shallow squid jig of Egido is now a fact!!
