At the same time, the BG – Black Gold reel series has been expanded by Daiwa to include small-sized reels for Ultra Light techniques, as well as sizes for Big Game and open-sea battles.

In other words, there is now a Daiwa BG reel for every fishing technique.

The Daiwa BG reels have a unique retrieval power with a fast gear ratio in all sizes.

Their excellent ability in managing the line, will not allow tangles and knots, as they have an elastic surface on the spool to hold the line well and prevent it from spinning, saving us from the annoying task of putting tape.

Additionally, Daiwa BG Spinning reels have a very smooth operation, due to their equipment with 7 bearings and mechanically designed gears. Despite their high power and advanced equipment, Daiwa keeps them affordable.

Constructed with an aluminum body and equipped with Digigear II technology, the mechanical parts of the reel continue to work together flawlessly even under heavy loads, allowing you to retrieve even difficult catches effortlessly. This ability is further assisted by the graphite rotor (Air Rotor).

The line release is also smooth during the battle, thanks to the very strong ATD brakes with carbon discs.

ATD :

The ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag) brake system features discs infused with a new special grease that optimizes the energy efficiency of the brake. This high-quality grease offers better initial grip, providing a more stable and progressive brake. As a result, the risk of line breakage during battles is minimized, thanks to the precise response of the ATD brake, which adjusts to every phase of the fight: engaging faster and more progressively at startup and offering better control during the heat of the battle. It automatically adapts to different constraints at each stage of the fight, hence its name Automatic Tournament Drag. With the Daiwa ATD brake, be prepared for calmer and better-controlled battles. The drag knob tightening is more precise, and the internal base of the spool fits better onto the axis to eliminate any play when the brake is released.

Air Rotor :

Balance, stability, and sensitivity characterize the Air-Rotor. Its arched profile, which is 15% lighter than a typical rotor, offers optimal rotational fluidity and eliminates vibrations due to its lower center of gravity.

HardBodyz :

Twist Buster 2 :

In a phrase, the Twist Buster technology reduces the friction of the line on the roller and minimizes line twist. Daiwa applies this technology as a solution to line twisting that occurs during long casts, in two ways: it "forces" the line to be ejected in a specific direction, at a specific angle towards the roller. Additionally, the rollers constructed with the Twin Buster technology have a special cone that forces the line to "twist".

ABS :

The unique design of the reverse cone on Daiwa's rollers results in less twisting and tangling of the fishing line, as well as longer casts. However, they are also larger than other rollers, resulting in faster retrieval speeds and better brake performance.
