The main innovation of the Quantum mask is that, in addition to providing improved downward vision, it prevents lens fogging through the internal thermal regulation of warm, humid air that exits through the nose. This air is channeled through a system of membranes positioned in the frame around the eyes and nose, diverting the airflow towards the silicone skirt rather than the lenses.

The outer part of the skirt features a cooling system comprised of two small heat exchangers that function as "radiators." The result is that the temperature inside the mask decreases, approaching the external temperature, and the moisture droplets are trapped before reaching the lenses, preventing them from fogging up.

The lenses are not subjected to chemical treatment, and it is important to remember that when the mask is new, as is the case with all masks, we advise you to carefully clean the lenses with toothpaste or dish soap, or simply use a lighter to burn off any volatile substances and dust that may have accumulated on the glass. It is also always useful to use saliva as a surfactant before each dive.

Before the first use of the mask, we should apply white toothpaste (not gel) internally on the lenses and the silicone of the mask. Typically, this toothpaste contains particles that assist in cleaning. The pressure we apply should be gentle to avoid leaving marks on the lenses. We let the toothpaste sit for at least 2 hours, and then we thoroughly rinse the lenses and the interior of the mask with lukewarm water. Ideally, before each use of the mask, we use an anti-fog solution.
