The main features of the Maui fin are its lightweight design and ease of use, even for those who are not well-trained in using fins. The Maui is designed with the same advanced technology of finite element analysis used for the first time in the Impulse and Sprint models.

The use of dual-material technology in the blade means that it consists of essentially two rigid side wings that direct the flow of water towards the central part, where the overlay of a softer and more elastic material makes it more flexible. In this way, the blade bends to create a "spooning effect", contributing to significant propulsion.

The fin can be used with bare feet or light socks. The fabric cover of the EBS strap prevents the elastic elements from getting damaged. The heel section is made of soft, anatomical rubber.
